Hey there, I’m JohnnyBoy and today I’m gonna give you the new meta Balloon deck with Graveyard. Graveyard is one of the best spell to use if you want to make a great counter push. The situation gets harder to shut because we have flying Balloon. Well, before we discuss any further, let’s see the deck matchups first.

Play This Deck

In this new meta deck, Balloon and Graveyard is the primary counter card or winning condition. However, we don’t need to always play both of them in one countering.


In order to make a strong defense line up, we have Valkyrie and Inferno Dragon. I often use Inferno Dragon to specifically kill any tanker. By doing so, you won’t spend so much elixir just to kill a tanker. You can use your elixir to make a hard push with Graveyard or Balloon next after.


We also have Valkyrie as a tiny tanker which we use to receive damage from any enemy’s counter. Whenever you fight against Wizard, Musketeer, or Witch, or any ground damage, you can just send her.


Combining Valkyrie with Wizard or Bats will increase the chance of succeed in defending. Bats is the helpers which we use to help Valkyrie in defending. Otherwise, we can also send Bats to help Balloon and Wizard in countering.

Rage Card-Clash-Royale-Kingdom

The next two cards would be spell cards, Rage and Arrows. We use Rage spell only when we have Balloon Wizard in countering. Balloon Rage combination will faster Balloon in movement speed as well as dropping the bombs.


Lastly, we have Arrows. Use Arrows flexibly in any countering and defending. You have Graveyard in countering, and sometimes, the enemy will probably have Minion Horde or Skeleton Army to interrupt Graveyard. Although we have Wizard as air protection, he alone won’t be enough.

What to do in early game?

In early game, you can wait till elixir reaches full bar before doing anything. It would be better if you wait till the enemy counters first. And start everything from defense.

In defending, you need to have Wizard, no matter what. And then, you need to try as hard as possible to protect him so he will remain healthy. Send Valkyrie to help Wizard in defending. Here, you need to place Valkyrie in front of him.

Pay attention to this, since you want to counter push with Balloon which costs 5 elixirs, you better place Wizard not to close to the bridge. Place him near the tower so you will have distance and be able to wait for elixir reaches enough to deploy Balloon.

In the position where you have Wizard and Balloon, prepare Rage. This is classical combo, and to be honest, this is timeless strong combo guys, especially if we boost their performance with Rage spell. This is the first counter archetype that we can run.

Timeless combo, forever work!

We don’t only have Wizard and Balloon combo, there’s still Inferno Dragon Graveyard combo. In early game, your elixir won’t be enough to deploy Graveyard after Balloon. So, we can separate both cards and run alternate counter with each of them.

If you use Inferno Dragon and it still remain high HP, you can deploy Graveyard to utilize the remained HP of Inferno Dragon. This time, you can add Rage to boost the skeletons. But, if you decide to play safely, that’s okay if you just deploy Graveyard to counter push with Inferno Dragon.

This is another counter archetype, play it alternately at early game

The point in early game is to make sure that you have either Wizard or Inferno Dragon. If the situations force you to play both cards in defending, you can counter push with Balloon next after. But, if the defense is quite easy, you better not to combine them in one defense line.

What to do in late game?

When you enter 2x elixir, the counter strategy would be similar to the early game. However, this time we can always Graveyard to make a harder push after defending. Still, you need to be wise in managing the elixir.

There would be a moment when you will be able to combine Balloon with Graveyard. To do that, you need to play super good defense, where you have Wizard in it.

After defending, you send Balloon on the bridge to join the survived defenders. After Balloon, deploy Graveyard on the tower. Lastly, you rage them all with Rage spell.

Since the elixir runs so much faster, send Bats too in order to turn the situation to be more chaotic. And support this counter with Arrows.
