Guys, I believe there would be so many Pekka deck in Ramp Up challenge and so, we should make a strong defense deck with a massive countering line up. This is it, Mega Knight Deck Ramp Up Challenge.


In today’s article, we are gonna be talking about a very strong deck that we consider anti Pekka. We will discuss the cards deck and how to protect your counter and defense from Pekka attack. Let’s jump on the deck matchups first.

Mega Knight Deck Ramp Up Challenge

Play This Deck

As you can see, we have Mega Knight and Goblin Barrel as winning condition. Your countering line would be counted on these two cards, with Executioner in rearguard position.

While we have Mega Knight is our no.1 winning condition, we have Goblin Barrel as the no.2. Whenever you go on counter or counter push with Mega Knight, you always throw the Barrel after the enemy targets on Mega Knight.

Although Mega Knight deals area damage, I highly recommend you to still pick up the Executioner to anticipate Minion Horde or Bats. According to my experience, there would be so many players bring Minion Horde as primary defender.

Besides Executioner, we would have Skeleton Army and Minion Horde as well. These two are the cards that make this deck anti Pekka. So, whenever you go on countering and your enemy really brings Pekka, you send the Skeleton Army to join Mega Knight.

Similar to Skeleton Army, Minion Horde can also good to be combined with Mega Knight in countering. Whenever you defend with Mega Knight and counter push with him, you can send Minion Horde to strengthen counter push. This can be another counter option guys.


We have Furnace as well. Combination of Furnace and Mega Knight is excellent combo. You’ll prevent Minion Horde attack on Mega Knight while countering. This 4 elixir building is a must in early game. 


Another building card that I think important is Inferno Tower. This building card is our primary defense card and it adds extra protection. It doesn’t only protect you from Pekka, it’s also capable of giving you great protection from any tankers and building targeting cards.


Lastly, we have one spell which we use to execute swarmy. In case your enemy is a pro Pekka player, there are possibility that they combine Pekka and Skeleton Army in countering. To prevent that kind of massive counter, I suggest you to bring Arrows.

Alright, that’s the general function of each cards, now let’s move on to the game strategy.

What to do in early battle?

In early battle, you don’t have to play really defensively or rushing counter. We rely on counter push that roots from defense.

I highly recommend you to defend with Inferno Tower as building card. Combine Inferno Tower and Skeleton Army is a clever defense tactic guys. In one hand, you can distract any troops, especially Pekka with bunch of army. On the other hand, Inferno Tower would hit the Pekka with incredible burst damage.

Another defense option is to play with Mega Knight as defender. When you have Mega Knight in defense, this is actually the root of counter push. Try to succeed Mega Knight in defense by combining it with Skeleton Army or Minion Horde. Or else, you can build the Inferno Tower to shut massive counter with a tanker that followed by supports.


Defend with Mega Knight, then go on counter push

You can actually counter in early game. Before you deploy Mega Knight to counter, build Furnace first. Afterwards, you can combine Mega Knight with Executioner and Skeleton Army. I prefer to combine him with Skeleton Army rather than Minion Horde at the early game it costs cheaper elixir.


This is how countering line seems like

All you need to do is to deploy Mega Knight behind crown tower. Then, deploy Executioner to follow him. Right after both cards enter enemy’s lane, you send the Skeleton Army. Don’t worry, you’ll get enough elixir to do this.

At this moment, the enemy would have to choose which one to shut first. They can either zap on the Skeleton Army or deploy any area defenders.

No matter what they send, you throw the Goblin Barrel to the tower. The Barrel will hit the tower brutally if enemy doesn’t stop them.

No matter what, throw the Barrel, Goblins would still reduce tower HP

So, we kind of doing spell bait in this countering. If the enemy zap on the Skeleton Army, the chance of Goblins to reduce enemy’s tower HP gets bigger.

This counter also anti Pekka, because we have Skeleton Army. There is no reason for the enemy to defend this counter with Pekka.

Remember, deploy Goblin Barrel right after the enemy deploy any cards. After the deploy any defender, for example, you throw the Barrel after the defender target on Mega Knight and Skeleton Army.

What to do in late game?

Similar to counter strategy in early game, you counter with Mega Knight and Executioner. Still enclose Skeleton Army on this counter to complicate the enemy.

Since elixir recharges faster in 2x elixir and 3x elixir, you can do spell bait first before you go with Mega Knight and Skeleton Army. This counter is so vulnerable against Tornado and Executioner (or any area dealer).

So, you can throw solo Minion Horde to see what enemy’s move to shut it. If they deploy their spell, immediately deploy Mega Knight on the bridge. Then, combine it with Skeleton Army.

If they have Executioner to defend against this, throw the Barrel when Executioner targets on Mega Knight. Your Skeleton Army behind Mega Knight would be executed, but the Barrel still can hit the tower.

This is an important strategy in case you fight against Pekka deck. Pekka deck would be most likely to have an area dealer and crowd control (Executioner and Tornado).

But if they don’t play with Pekka, I guarantee that you would dominate the game. In counter line, we have Mega Knight Executioner and bunch of swamy. We also have Goblin Barrel to support the counter push whenever you have survived defenders.

In defense, you have Inferno Tower and Mega Knight. I believe this defense tactic is strong enough to shut Hog or Ram counter. Even Golem or Lava deck would be so hard to compromise our defense.

There you have it guys, a solid defense counter Mega Knight Deck. This is an anti Pekka deck, since we have Inferno Tower and so many tiny troops (Skeleton Army and Minion Horde).

In 2x elixir and 3x elixir at late game, you can dominate the game by giving enemy unstoppable pressure. And in this deck, I pick Furnace which is an optional card. You can replace it with Rocket or Fireball, so, in late game, you can cycle it.
