Hey there, I’m JohnnyBoy here ready to help you master Clash Royale. In this beautiful Wednesday, I’m gonna be giving you the best and strongest Hog Rider deck arena 9 or known as Jungle Arena. Some of players would have some problem in this arena because of finding some opponents who come from higher level that is not supposed to be in Jungle Arena. If you play with Hog Rider, that opponent from higher level would easily compromise your Hog. Today we will learn how to combine a perfect deck to anticipate it. So, you won’t be too worry in fighting higher level opponents.


Alright, this deck is considered anti-Inferno because we have Electro Wizard, which is our no.1 defender. Having one Electro Wizard in defense line would excellently secure your tower because of his passive ability. Delivering his zap would stun as well as reducing enemy’s HP. I think this one is irreplaceable if you want to win the battle against higher level opponents.

This deck would be cheap, easy to play, and so strong. Let’s take a look at the deck matchups first

Play This Deck

As you can see, we will have Witch in this deck, and you must know already what her position is.


She would be no.1 cover for Hog Rider. If you wanna play Hog Rider, you really need one area dealer. And this time I prefer Witch rather than any troops. It is because her spawn ability. Skeletons from Witch would catch up with Hog and be enemy’s target. That would safe your Hog from one or two hits by enemy.

Furthermore, Witch deals splash area damage and hybrid target. She would protect your Hog from air and ground units, either single or group of troops.


Besides Witch, we also include Baby Dragon as no.2 area dealer. You can use Baby Dragon to cover Hog if you already use Witch for defense.

The defense is pretty flexible and somehow, we are forced to deploy Witch as to give extra protection for your defense.


Next, we have Goblins. Three Goblins would protect the tower from Goblin Barrel or Princess. So, you don’t need to worry if you fight against Princess or Goblin Barrel. Just deploy Goblins on where the Princess and Goblin Barrel stand.

Another significant function is that we can use Goblins to deal with Bridge Spam troops such as Prince, Hog Rider, Battle Ram. Goblins are cheap, so we can anticipate unexpected bridge spam which sometimes occur shockingly.

Similar to Goblins, we have Fire Spirits. If Goblins used to handle ground units, Spirits functions to handle air units. So, if you see a counter with Minion Horde or Bats, you can deploy Fire Spirits.

Since this deck is so strong, we would have Mini Pekka as well. Use Mini Pekka to counter ground tanker such as Golem, Giant, Mega Knight, Royal Giant, Giant Skeleton. Although mini sized, the tiny sword would be so harmful for high HP troops.

Lastly, we have Rage. This one is optional, and you can freely change this spell to another spell you think better. I mostly use Rage to fasten Hog Rider along with supports while countering.

I think Rage is usable and handy in supporting Hog Rider. You may know already, Hog Rider is often matched with Lightning, Freeze, Fireball, or anything. But here, I recommend you to pick Rage.

What to do in early battle?

In early battle, I recommend you to count on counter push. By deploying solo Hog or Mini Pekka as bridge spam, the enemy must have something to defend. And then, you defend against enemy’s defender which continue counter to our lane.

In defense, I highly suggest you to deploy Electro Wizard first before any other troops. Whether they are ground or air units, you send Electro as first counter troop.

After Electro, you can send Baby Dragon or Witch to add extra damage. At this step, Electro and Baby Dragon or Witch will be more likely to survive and go on with counter push.

You can enclose Hog Rider or Mini Pekka in front of these survivors. This is the counter push archetype we play in early game. Remember, always deploy Hog Rider on the bridge when you go on counter push.

What to do in late battle?

After you counter and defense in early game, now you start 2x elixir with bridge spam Mini Pekka or Hog Rider. This is gonna be similar to early game. After you deploy bridge spam, defend the lane with Electro first. If the enemy play with tanker, you go with Mini Pekka first, not Electro. It’s all depending on what troops enemy send.

After you defend the lane, send the area dealer, Witch or Baby Dragon in front of Princess tower. Then, deploy Hog Rider on the bridge to join survived defenders.

As this is 2x elixir, you can support countering with Rage. By adding spell, your counter line would be enraged and most likely to get the tower.

Once you have Rage on counter line, you can add extra damage by sending other troop, I recommend Fire Spirits. When you have all counter line enraged and Fire Spirits, that would be a madness, try this strategy and you’ll thank me later.

Now, if you are in arena 9, don’t be afraid to play Hog deck. This one is so strong deck and defense line is so strong. Electro makes this deck anti-inferno and Sparky; those troops can’t compromise our defense line if we have Electro Wizard in defense.
