Hi, my friends! What is your Giant Skeleton deck Challenge that you use? Have you ever combined Giant Skeleton, Lumberjack, and Goblin Barrel in one countering line? This article will discuss about the deck matchups and how to combine Giant Skeleton, Lumberjack, and Goblin Barrel in one countering line. There are counter defense strategy you need to know before you play with this. The secret would be on counter push.
Guys, you are here with me again JohnnyBoy helping you master Clash Royale. This article would be according to certain trials and of course my personal experience.
I discovered this deck just yesterday, and it turns out to be a very solid Giant Skeleton deck for Challenge. With Lumberjack presence, everything would go faster.
But, Lumberjack is not enough. Of course, we need one area dealer to follow the retarded giant. Not only that, this deck and strategy become so strong because we will have Goblin Barrel in counter push.
Before we talk any further strategy, let’s jump on the deck matchups first.
Giant Skeleton Deck for Challenge
Wizard is major. I use this one to cover Giant Skeleton and it gives the bomb carrier extra protection from swarmy distraction. He is also a hybrid area dealer with the highest area damage point. So, why not?
As you can see that we have 2 goblin cards, Goblin Barrel and Goblin Gang. These two are important for spell bait. We play spell bait here in order to succeed Giant Skeleton reaching enemy’s tower.
Before I counter push with Giant Skeleton and Goblin Barrel, I kind of baiting the enemy’s Zap or Arrows. So, when we throw the Goblin Barrel later on, they would probably free from those destructive spells.
Besides its function as spell bait, we can use Goblin Barrel for defense too. Whenever you defending against Prince or Pekka, you can ambush them with Goblin Gang. This card always be the first card that we launch when we face sort of condition.
Next, we have Bats. We can quite flexibly play the bats in both defending or countering. They can support Giant Skeleton in countering and while tanked by retarded Giant, they would go so reckless in beating any defenders. We can use Bats for defense too. So, we have more than one swarmy in this deck.
Talking about defense, we have Inferno Tower, which is the primary defense card. You don’t need to worry in facing the Golem, Lava, or Pekka deck. Inferno will hit each of them so quickly, this card makes the deck anti tanker.
Alright, that’s pretty much the cards function. Now, let’s jump on counter defense strategy.
What to do in early battle?
In early battle, you can counter with Giant Skeleton and Wizard. Before you do any deployment, wait till elixir reaches above 8. Then, Deploy Giant Skeleton behind crown tower. Since Wizard costs 5 elixir, it won’t be enough and wrong if we place Giant Skeleton too forward.
So, after Giant Skeleton deployed, you send Wizard behind him. This is a synergy combo, troops like Giant Skeleton needs to be accompanied by area dealer guys, you know that.
After Giant Skeleton and Wizard enter enemy’s territory, throw Goblin Barrel on the tower. Goblin Barrel makes this counter to be more solid and confusing. In one hand, enemy should kill and distract the Giant Skeleton before he gets any closer to the tower.
At the same time, we have 3 Goblins right on the tower and doing free hit. Enemy should shut these 3 goblins as well. So, we kinda giving enemy a hard decision, which one to shut first.
After you run this counter, focus on defense. And for the defense, it would be depending on what incoming troops are. If they are air units, we build the Inferno Tower to bring them to the middle. And we can send Bats to help Inferno Tower.
If they are ground units, we combine Inferno tower and Goblin Gang. Or else, if what comes is area dealer, we send Lumberjack instead of Goblin Gang.
What to do in late game?
When you enter 2x elixir, you can deploy all countering on the bridge. So, if you have Giant Skeleton ready, deploy him on the bridge. Combine it with Zap and Bats would be enough to support.
Or if you wanna play slow tempo, we can send Giant Skeleton as defender first, then deploy Wizard to help him defending.
If you do this, you can counter push with Goblin Barrel next after. So, once the enemy targets on Giant Skeleton, throw Goblin Barrel to the tower.
This is how you combine them
We can do bridge spam with Lumberjack too. You can combine Lumberjack with Goblin Gang, or play him in solo action.
Lastly, we can counter with Goblin spell bait. To do this, you have to throw solo Goblin Barrel up to the enemy’s tower. Then, wait till enemy deploy any spells. If they eventually leash their Zap or Arrows to stop this, immediately deploy Goblin Gang on the bridge.
This bridge spam is great pressure guys. In one hand, we could get tower damage, but at the same time, we force the enemy to leash unnecessary defense card. That will prevent the enemy to deploy their counter troops, because they need elixir for defense.
Remember, whenever you have Giant Skeleton and Lumberjack in one countering line, you need to always prepare the Zap. Although you have Wizard already, you still have to prepare for swarmy ambush or swarmy distraction.
Alright, what do you guys think about this Giant Skeleton deck for Challenge? Eventually, we have several strategies to succeed it. The game strategy would be a little bit complicated or let say advance because in higher arena, you need to do double hard work to make sure that you win the battle. However, if you get used to play it, you will love it.
